Now retired, I spent many years looking for the education authorities to put the computer back into A level Computing. The youngsters found it boring doing too much "Business" in the course. I have just heard that the new Principal at the 6th form college I worked in is making the computing staff redundant as he doesn't see the need for computing. Most of the students I came across would have loved to do something constructive and innovative but the powers that be just want them to pass!!

My son learned on a BBC. BeeBug magazine and all, and now has a very good job in the industry.
