To be fair, consider unionization for all areas (accounting, lawyers, doctors, management, etc).
If you want to rebuild America and stop outsourcing, off-shoring, open your eyes and realize that we (the royal WE) must pull together and enforce better quality and quantity. This is not just an IT issue. We are at the backend of all the business decisions and are there to service the business.
However, imaging having to pay for every minute and hour that your resources work to support those wild initiatives that bring little value to the companies bottom line. You may get closer to the real source of the problem. Can you see the emails now? VP of costomer service gets fired for spearheading a $50 million dollar CRM or sales force product that only generated $2 million dollars in new revenue while losing $15 million dollars in repeat business due to lose specificatons and too many business direction changes.
In this case, a union might be good at showing the cost overruns and enforcing pay for work performed.
