I've had several great jobs after graduating from college, and I was always hired based on my skills . Any company that ever brings up my social media presence during the interview process is a company I would never work for. The fact that someone heavily uses social media and exerts some sort of influence over their "social circle" definitely does not make you a stellar job candidate.
