It would immediately be followed by a closed source edition of MS Office for Linux. It shouldn't be too much trouble to tweak the Mac version.

I've often wondered why MS doesn't have a Linux distribution. Maybe senior management thinks it wouldn't fit their business model. Maybe they figure releasing one would draw too much attention to the OS, or more specifically to the no-cost alternatives to Microsoft's products.
