Windows 8
I wish I had a dollar for every negative statement that was mad when Windos 7 was announced.
So far, most of those are made by people that have not tried the software. I am a retired software manager and belong to a PC user group with over 800 members most of them seniors. Windows 8 was not written for them. I see the majority of users embracing Win 8 as those who own tablets and smart phones. Once the hardware becomes cheaper and more available (touch screens for laptops and destops) more and more people will press the "like" button. Using a laptop on the road will be nice without the cumberson touch pad or a mouse.
Active tiles (like finance, weather, news) will be accessible fast with a touch from the Metro start screen, and switching between apps will be much easier. Also, in the business world, opening Excell or Word for example will be simpler and faster.
My next laptop will definitely have a touch screen and Windows 8.
