What is the point of upgrading
I still use Windows XP and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and still loving it..... from what found out around the internet, the Windows 8 seems to be very difficult to use.... no more traditional start menu, extremely difficult navigation...

Now all the 6 PC in my company's office still runs Windows XP and Office 2003 - everything works fine, we got our work done accordingly the same way as it was 7 years ago.

So if we upgrade to Windows 7 and the new Office suites which use those Ribbons menu, a total strangers for us, we might need to sacrifice some valuable time and productivity so that all our staff can really understand the Windows 7 and the new office suite to be able to do their work

From what I heard, Windows 7 is quite good and still have the feeling of the "Windows" that we knew, I guess over time, we might be able to get used to it...

However, if we were to upgrade to Windows 8, we will end up wasting too much time even to find certain functions or settings that we use to know... suddenly now, we don't know anything and have to explore everything... the clock is ticking, we might still struggle to find what we need... don't think that is good for business and productivity... right?

What is the point of upgrading if we end up loosing productivity and wasted valuable time?

Windows XP, still works fine... we happy that we paid the license for it coz surely we feel it worth every single dollar we spent for it..... XP may not be the best OS out there but as far as SMB concern, so far it still works fine!!!!

Being a normal user, I guess it would be better if Microsoft continue the Vista interface and improve all the glitches and bugs coz at least in Vista, we still can get the familiar traditional start menu style....

Oh well... I'm just a normal user, not an IT or software expert what so ever....
