The Microsoft Strength for me has been backward compatability. How will this new (and agreed, stupid interface for a desktop) handle desktop applications.

I have always viewed the OS for phones, tablets and other small devices as being a "work around" style rather than highly efficient methodology for interface. Desktops are supposed to be the most flexible in use not the most limited.

Thanks Microsoft for my hat but why ask what's my hurry?
