Working on a desktop screen, and then want to run another app:
Win7: Click on menu, scroll around until I find what I want, click it. I never move fro desktop.

Win8: Click on start, get moved from where I'm working to a start screen, scroll around amongst a gazillion entries where I HAVE to see ALL of them, i.e. no hiding of detail, grouping, click icon.

Total disruption. Now there is NO repeat NO reason for this ridiculous way of navigation when operating on a non touch machine.

That's where the problem lies.
