What's funny is the processes in UEFI, Bit Locker, and Direct Access were
all part of the Microsoft Total Vendor Lock-in Plan set out in Palladium about 15 years ago that got howled down by the tech community and now some have fallen prey to the PR that it's needed. I don't think the frogs have noticed the water warming up at all.
