I'll give you that one... good analogy.
It isn't EXACTLY what I meant - but your response makes it clear that this is how it came across, anyhow.
What I really mean is that for most development, you want to be able to reach the BROADEST number of end users, consumers, whatever, balanced with profitability... the "write for iOS first, Android second, and Windows Phone, maybe... and everything else... probably not" principle, more or less.
But whatever you do, yeah, write it good - be efficient. Use tricks.
