Tangent: Yes it would be nice to see some e-ink based smartphones and tablets (A5 and A4), even if they are only offered by the rugged device vendors. Don't really care what OS they are running (but would prefer Android or Windows XP/7/8 for ease of enterprise integration) as having devices that are really useable by engineers up pylons etc. etc. would be sufficient justification; screen update speed? non-issue.
