Linus is an OS, and which market share are you talking about at 1%
the last stats I saw (a few years back) had Linux as having about 40% of the server share with Unix (it's sort of parent) with about 40% of the server share. Also Linux has about 80% of the embedded systems share in machines and consumer goods. The only place where anything beats it is the desktop due to Microsoft's predatory activities with vendors and a few hundred million of advertising each year. Despite that, variants Like Ubuntu and Zorin are much more consumer ready than Windows is and are taking more of the total share each year, except the desktop sales share as they give it away.
