Yes, we all know how "ineffective" bullets are against balloons 
As for the other crap, and yes, it was crap - bullets aren't very effective against armored aircraft. These drones have to be very very light. They are not armored. They also don't have the luxury of multiple redundant systems like combat aircraft do, they are simply not comparable to normal aircraft in the way you compared them.
These are compact, light-weight machines, full of expensive hardware, they won't like a bullet at all, even though they won't explode...
