No doubt I enjoy the meritocracy of engineering. In my office, shorts and sandals are de rigueur. Even as a tech writer, the fact that my group is under engineering means that there is no dress code. The only requirement is that you perform to your full potential, everything else is seen as a distraction.

All-hands meetings are particularly entertaining when you see the intermingling of relaxed engineers and the fashion show that is marketing.
