Is everyone here a developer who lives in a cubicle with no interaction with other people? Performance starts with appearance. If you do not care enough about others to respect them by demonstrating professional appearance, then I am extremely worried about the future of IT. No wonder why "IT professionals" are no longer professionals. Can you imagine going to a doctor who walks into the hospital in bare feet, a "I screw on the first date" T-Shirt? I don't care how good of a surgeon he might be, I would never let that person cut me open. How about you?
