I do not agree.
Most users are clueless about security. Unsecured systems cause billions of dollars of lost time and problems each year. Allowing ignorant people to manage their own levels of security is like allowing everyone to design their own braking systems on their cars. As you know, most people cannot even change the oil. The same level of incompetence exists for people who have a computing device that is networked, or on the Internet. It became blatantly obviously to me years ago, that even most IT managers and business managers have no idea how to implement or use effective security. To assume that the average home user has this knowledge is hilarious indeed. Thanks for the laugh. :P
