The survey options were about what's most important -- GNOME being relevant to the Linux world, games being ported to Linux, "both", or "neither". I think that games being available on open source OSes is important, so "neither" doesn't work. I don't think that keeping GNOME relevant is important, so it's not "both", either.
There's another answer I wish was on that survey, though, because I would have chosen that:
I think that GNOME rapidly being consigned to the dustbin of history would be *great* for the world of open source OSes.
