to now make their gear as Industry Standard compliant and just make Windows drivers. Some have done it all along, but more are now following suit. What it means is if you have a Linux, Unix, or Mac system you just plug in and it works, if you have a Windows system you get the CD that came with it and load the relevant Windows drivers.
One advantage of that system is that you can end up with the one Windows driver that will work for a number of products in the range.
