in either Towards 2000 or Beyond 2000 and was a concept car that used light weight alloys to make a very light car and used composite for the engine with ceramics for the hot areas.. Sadly, I can't find a list of what was shown on the TV shows so I can't go straight to it. But it may have been this one:
