Designers and engineers
Years ago I walked into a repair shop and saw a guy under a Thunderbird with what looked like most of the engine lying around him. I asked my friend, the owner, what he was doing. "Changing the spark plugs," was the answer. From that time on I've obsessed that Congress should require every designer or anything to serve in a repair shot for at least six months every 3-5 years. On the other hand, I once had a Pontiac with a 4 cylinder turned sideways in front, so even a child could change the plugs. Translate that to electronics. How many of those problems would remain if the Apple, Google, MS guys had to work on them from time to time? Hopefully things would improve unless they want deliberately to be evil.
