Picture 4 has no distortion from thrust, and picture 5 has a big shadow most likely cast from the helicopter it was suspended from.
Seriously though, it's exciting and scary at the same time; just watch Eureka.
My only peeve is the this from the first picture's text "unmanned stages for deep space human exploration"; if their unmanned, how can it be human?

Yes.. pic 5 has shadow of the helicopter.. and pic 4 no thruster distortion... as there shouldn't as it is carried by helicopter... !!!
10 seconds with google led me to the video of the mighty eagle flight test.
