This is my opinion. [Begin RANT]
Everybody wants to jump all over "The Cloud" and make out like it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Do you really want all of the invasion of your privacy as business and governments continue to ignore the laws and your personal rights in the name of profit and power? Do you really want to be tracked no matter what you do? Do you really want all of the security holes that will be opened up? And what happens when your internet connection goes down?
What about when they have successfully denied you the ability to have standalone applications on your computer (You know, the one that you purchased and own? The one about which you should be screaming at the top of your lungs that "It is your computer and NOT theirs?") Get ready to have to put in a credit card number and get charged by the cpu second of usage!! Do you really want to be violated, over and over, like that? Wake UP!! Stop being "sheeple" and say "NO" to The Cloud!!
