It is enlightened to all that cloud has hit the industry at most, but we are yet to experience the standards in deployment not only from public view point but also from industry point. The trend today, as a result, is the service provider organization itself makes a set of rules if not it forms an alliance with another to bring in strong favor for themselves.

The role of IEEE as pointed out here is very strong, however IEEE seems not giving enough attention to clouds yet.
