There is a certain company that I know of that is named after a fruit that willfully turns their backs on exploits, denies them, and even punishes any hacker who makes their errors known to them.

Why would it? That is exactly what Professionals Expect to happen to them, they ignore things that incur a cost they end up having to pay for the mistake.

If your argument held true there would be no Nero Surgeons or Obstructions both of which are the most sued parts of the Medical Profession but as yet while the legal actions may dissuade some from entering those fields because they would expect to be sued and don't want to have to put up with the legal actions every second, second there as yet is no shortage of either disciplines in the medical profession.

If they stuff up they deserve to be held accountable for their actions.
