"The Mars Science Laboratory Mast Camera, mounted at about human-eye
height, images the rovers surroundings in high-resolution stereo and color, with
the capability to take and store high-definition video sequences."
Mast Cam is a 2 mega-pixel camera with multiple lenses available (wide to tele). Most (if not all) of the images we see here have been color corrected to appear as if they were taken in Earth's atmosphere. Here's one of the photos in uncorrected color:
