Removal of VHD dual-boot...
...is easy.

Boot to Windows 7, delete the Windows 8 VHD file, and then alter the boot menu. To do so, run System Configuration via "msconfig.exe" as an Administrator, access the Boot tab and delete the Windows 8 option.
