I think quite opposite
No one asks about certifications, at least not in Finland.
It's all about work experience, that's what they repeat time after time. I don't get even in to interviews and I have MCSE (2003) and MCITP: Enterprise Administrator certifications.
Point is that they don't trust certifications because of braindumps, and any unemployed guy who has certs is suspicious.
So, even if I have work experience and I am praised by my Win Server and especially Active Directory skills, I stay unemployed. And I also feel that it has no matter how much I study, nothing changes.
What comes to certifications, I feel like I've been cheated. Certification were supposeed to be THE THING with I can prove my expertise. Lot's Of Laughs.
