Sorry, you must have me confused....
.....with someone who cares about Apple's hype. I merely took part in the conversation. I don't go around the Internet complaining how much I hate Apple, despise it's new product or being generally negative about Apple. This thread could have been about any other well-marketed IT company and my comments would have been broadly the same.
You are certainly right that threads like this can have the effect of adding to the Apple hype. The adage: "Any publicity is good publicity" comes to mind.
The iPhone 5 will be a solid release, I'm sure. I don't think it will live up to expectations and I do think it'll sell really well despite that. I also think that the Apple fanboys won't be swayed by anything that's said that isn't glowing and positive.
