that Apple had roughly 52% of the desktop PC market against all competitors prior to IBM/Microsoft's introduction of the PC. That still doesn't say that technology would be where it is today without Apple's influence. I think we'd be a minimum of 20 years behind where we are today--especially after the so-hated PC clones smothered the market for all other platforms.
