Excellent and useful post. I have made this mistake a few times. On the one hand it revealed that ugly attribute - 'Pride', and on the other hand, revealed aspects of my Insecurity.

It's very easy to upset people with this 'I know too much' attitude and very difficult to repair the damage caused. Very necessary to avoid it. Better to wait to be asked or at least be extremely tactful about suggesting anything; and this, only after 2 to3 months on the job.
