If true, then for once Steve underestimated the human desire for new shiny objects. After all, what self-respecting CEO would dare to pull out a bargain bin android or *gasp* pre-smart phone (or even the last-gen iPhone, to be honest) while on the 9th hole with his buddies?

Seriously, though, I understand what you are saying. I just wish it were the case. But it looks like companies are just going to (unfortunately) continue to embrace more and more BYOD. Also, a surprising number of companies actually buy full price iPhones (there are a couple of folks here in the comments, in fact).
