There is a lot of empirical evidence, and some managers out and out admit, that many not only don't care, but have found a revolving door suits them better.
I don't know if that trend will continue, but I suspect it will. Unfortunately we're still thinking as if it's still the 70's, and I'm afraid a lot of good people will struggle because they haven't gotten out of hat mindset.
