Surely this is the point, why would you want to stop using the mouse to open a program (ie type a program name) then use the mouse to click on the one out of a list, then start typing again, then click on something etc, etc,.. whilst I've got nothing against keyboard shortcuts (didn't you love wordperfect? it's a poor substitute for a well laid out menu!
