I don't have a need to use it often, but when I do, I have a $10 copy of EasyTether. I haven't found anything I need that it won't do. When I tried it at home, the download to my laptop was faster than my DSL. This app doesn't require a fee and has no restrictions I know of, other than it uses my data allowance.
