While it lessens the impact, I do agree that NOT having to buy the adaptors and cables would have been preferred!
And my all time wish for a spare battery that I can pop in when needed went unfulfilled once again.

At $30 a pop for the adapter and no outside vendors can sell a version...
You need only peruse eBay to find numerous accessories at half the cost Apple charges (or less). Charger cables and adaptors under $10 each.
