In the electronic warfare specialty we referred to many of our transmitters as "free birth control". Those tissues are especially sensitive to EM radiation heating and suffer damage sooner. Of course they are high power affairs generally several orders of magnitude more powerful than consumer devices.

The waste heat from power plants is far more environmental heat than EM transmitters make.
