Google has reached its 10th birthday, but it has certainly evolved from the simple search box. What will the company Google look like in 10 more years?
Is claiming that September 29 2012 is Goggles 14th Birthday.
Yep I know here in AU we are a day ahead of the US but here is a Screen Dump of what is appearing on Google today.

Not sure what Google will look like in another 10 years but then again I'm not sure what a Computer will look like in another 10 years particularly with the advances in Quantum Computing that have been announced recently.

Seems I remember using Google to search the web with my old text
based web browser that did not support forms, JavaScript, etc. while
booted into DOS 6.22 on my old IBM PS2. WizLynx (yeah, I know,
lame name, LOL) would run scripts that I edited with PC SpeedScript,
entering search terms in the various engines via HTML query.
Also, didn't Google Adsense start in early 2000?? Seems I remember
that. Anyhow, there is a link somewhere to Google's history...ahhh,
here we go, originally called BackRub until 1998 when Larry and Sergey
received funding for a company that didn't exist in 1998...

Yep, closer to 14 years!

Yep, closer to 14 years!
"Google began in January 1996 as a research project"
"The domain name for Google was registered on September 15, 1997"
"Google was first incorporated as a privately held company on September 4, 1998, and its initial public offering followed on August 19, 2004."
The Google homepage here in Switzerland is also showing the 14th birthday cake doodle BTW - but I am not sure of what!

Misread the headline - sorry about that. I guess I need to slow down a bit.
The headline of the linked article states that Google News turned ten on September 22nd.
Yep, looks like I glossed over the headline just a bit. Sorry about that. However, the spirit of the poll is still valid - where is Google going as a company?
There needs to be better research for news items before being posted!
If China drops Apple for its own phones/tablets and runs them on Android, Google will reign supreme and crapple will join Microsoft in the history books
The MS FUD raised by this mis-represented opinion piece is much older than Google.
Where in the article is Microsoft mentioned? FUD? Your tin-foil is wrapped
too tight, loosen it and allow some cerebral circulation.

What does Microsoft have to do with this? Mark is with TR, not MS, and had already apologized for his mistake twice before you posted. Not all mistakes are FUD, and there aren't any traces of it anyway.
Google has a tendency of killing off projects. 2 social networks with Google Plus probably next. Many other projects. So why not this?
