You missed the easiest and most reliable media re-coder I have ever used! Almost any video, audio, photo format or DVD can be converted to almost any format and the GUI is so user friendly and intuitive..... obviously designed by people who have an empathy with those of us who are not fully fluent in computer 'speak' or processes. Its completely free and if you like it you can donate, but its not compulsory. There is a free companion video downloader for Youtube clips etc, also available on their website.
