How can a company upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8, when third party software that's being used on a daily basis and are business critical is not yet even compatible with Windows 7? It is easy to upgrade to a new version of Windows if you only work on Microsoft products. In the end it is not only CIOs that need to bear in mind that "we're moving to a Windows 8 everywere world" but also third party software houses and developers. Until then most companies will try to skip the Windows 8 upgrade.
