Does your organization physically destroy old hard drives or do you wipe them clean with software and find alternative uses for them?
In most cases, we will reuse the hard drives and sell the computer (or printer - MFP) without a hard drive.
If I'm going to wipe a drive, I'm not going to remove it from its original system and reinstall it in one with the required software. That means I'll be booting from DVD or other removable media, but I'm not going to chase after a license key every time I want to use it. Further, many of the older systems here won't support 1280x1024. Finally, there are plenty of free tools to do this job.

I'll stick with DBAN.

I should have said resolutions of 1280x1024 or greater, since this software obviously works fine on 1080p displays. Your points are valid however.

I agree, sounds like too much trouble / effort to me. DBAN is what I know, and is what I will stick with.
