but if it were true to the spirit of Lovecraft, Big Red would have kept his horns on and went all destroyer of worlds. No redemption in Lovecraft. (BTW. as I imagine you know, Hellboy II actually features a cameo by Old Ones (i.e., Elder Things in the "mythos") in the otherworldly market scene.
