I have an old (hand-me-down) Toshiba laptop with Ubuntu 10.04 installed and I still get updates for the non-Canonical support. I also have an old (hand-me-down) Acer laptop with Ubuntu 10.10 and still get non-Canonical updates on it too (never could get 10.04 to install on it - even the live CD would not make it through boot up.
