Now that I have this shiny new Notebook with Windows 8 and I would like to upgrade to Win8 Pro, does that mean I must DOWNGRADE to my previous version of Win7 Ultimate so I can UPGRADE to Win8 Pro for $15 instead of $70???
Sounds crazy to me!
I just read the fine print and much to my dismay, if you upgrade to win8 Pro, you will LOSE the ability to download apps from your PC manufacturer! My Notebook is an HP Envy dv7 and has numerous (nice) HP apps. Looks like it may NOT be worth my while to upgrade to Win8 Pro.
