make a shortcut to the Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > Programs folder and put it on your taskbar.

That's an interesting idea about making Microsoft OS free although it's not entirely true that you buy their software just because you buy their OS. There are plenty of programs that could serve as alternatives to Microsoft products.

I do like the idea of a free Windows 8 though. It would get more people using it and possibly boost sales of other Microsoft software.
