Worked with all 3 preview versions of W8 on a new HP laptop via dual boot with W7.

Can't see any reason to replace W7 with W8 on a PC unless you have touch type hardware.

One might question the wisdom of installing W8, just like one would question the wisdom of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. People do it.
