Unfortunately there is not much that can be done about the KB2770917 error. Microsoft has not yet replied or responded to any requests and hopefully are working on a solution.

The problem appears to be with AMD machines. Just hide the update (as it is not security related) and wait until Microsoft release a compatible and working update.

Deactivating 3rd party applications may not work for everyone. Be careful when doing this.
