on the pricing: $99 to upgrade Win8 to Pro and add Media Center OR about $139 to just buy a Win7 Pro license (that includes Media Center and NO START SCREEN). Is Microsoft trying to kill Win8??

I know there is a large set of technical reasons why Win8 should be chosen, but when the average user sees the above, they are probably going to just go with the Win7 Pro choice.
