Since Microsoft touts IE 10 Metro as a plug-in free browser, you may be out of luck but you can jump from IE 10 Metro to IE 10 Desktop from within IE 10 Metro.
From IE 10 Metro > pick the tools icon in the lower right corner and choose View IE on the desktop.
Then the time is right there in the taskbar.
