When we define what is right and wrong from moment to moment and based on a democratic view of what is right for society, it's going to shift. Any individual can come up with their own view of what is morally correct and in these cases these folks believe this is OK behaviour (I do not hold that view by the way).
The only way to cure this is to have a fixed view of what is right and wrong - but then how do we do this without an external view to define that right and wrong (AKA religion and God).
Catch 22. Glad I have a moral base.
