I've come across some sources that talk about how the JMSDF kept their DASH drones in service a lot longer than the USN, & didn't have the stability issues we did.

No explanation, unfortunately, was ever given for the difference in performance. I doubt it was technology-related, as a lot of JMSDF equipment is either US-built or based on US equipment.
